We Value Technology
In Catawba County, technology is highly valued. We are transitioning into a Data Center Corridor, and it is important that we train our youth so that they have the skills to work in this field.
Libraries
The Catawba County Library System has seven branches, and the Hickory City Library System has two branches. One of these is located in the SALT Block. L-R also has an very extensive library.
College Programs
With five higher education institutions, the Catawba Valley has a wealth of college programs available covering a variety of vocations and degrees including graduate degrees.
Creative Learning
The Catawba Valley has always focused on the arts, and our residents and students are drawn to creative learning opportunities. We think outside of the box, and that has helped our region thrive.
